Since the purpose of CDP KRIS KRINGLE 2010 is be familiar with each other regardless of account, everyone is encouraged to give his/her gift to his/her baby PERSONALLY.   Expect the surprise on the face of your baby upon realizing the real identity of his/her parent.

You can do this anytime tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010.

Kindly accomplish your wish list (thru email) before this weekend
so that your "parent" can consider them.
In addition, check your own e-mail because you might have
an update from your "baby."

True essence of Kris Kringle

Kris Kringle or Secret Santa is a  Western Christmas tradition 

in which members of a group are randomly assigned other members 

to whom they anonymously give a gift.

Claiming of gifts this week

Ideally, everyone should place his or her gift under the the Christmas tree within today, Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010,  to accomodate the gifts from both the AM shift and the PM shift.  Claiming and distribution shall be done tomorrow, Thursday, Dec 8, 2010.  However, I have heard that some participants brought perishable gifts.  In that case, I advice the "giver" to inform his or her "baby", to claim the gift immediately.  You can do so thru email or this blog.  Just write a "comment" addressed to your baby (from codename).

CLARIFICATION ABOUT THE WISH LIST:
The "wish list" is about the FINAL or REVELATION DAY gift (worth at least P200). 
In addition, it is optional.  If it is not possible, the parent may opt not to follow it.

Your "baby" shall be delivered at 1 PM today!

Check your E-mails at 1 p.m. today, December 7, 2010 to know you "baby."

                STEP 2 : You may indicate your wish list at this point. 
                                But, if you opt to decide later, you may do so.
                STEP 3. Wait for all participants to "Join."
                STEP 4. You will receive an email indicating your "baby."
                               Again, the first gift is about the FIRST LETTER of YOUR NAME.
                               (This serves as a clue for your baby.)
                              Then label your gift with your CODE NAME.

FIRST WEEK GIFT

I know that most of you have tried checking your emails yesterday, Dec. 4, 2010.  But, I was not able to continue the process because of the following reasons:

1. Some participants from the CS Department have not yet confirmed and chosen a CODE NAME.
2. I can not access the email addresses of those who registered using the FOLLOWERS box.

Therefore, let us move the FIRST WEEK GIFT, instead of Monday, Dec. 6, 2010 to TUESDAY, Dec. 7, 2010.  Nevertheless, you can continue preparing for your first week gift regardless of who your "baby" will be.

Happy holidays!

         This blog is created to better facilitate this year's CDP Kris Kringle.  The aim is to make it more exciting with the following features:

         

1.     Picking of "babies" or "bunutan" shall be automated.  Each participant shall receive an email indicating his/her “baby.”

2.     The theme for each week shall be a clue to the identity of the “giver.”

3.     Each participant may indicate a wish list (optional).

4.     A code name shall be used to label each gift.

Schedule for gift giving:

WEEK 2: Monday, December 13, 2010

WEEK 3: Monday, December 20, 2010

REVELATION: Thursday, December 23, 2010.

As before, there shall be a big box at the HR Area to drop your gifts.  Distribution of the gifts shall be done the following day.
